EKSUTH CALLS FOR APPLICATIONS TO FILL VACANT MEDICAL POSITIONS

Ekiti State Government has called for applications from suitably qualified medical professionals from both within and outside the hospital to fill vacant positions at the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital (EKSUTH), Ado-Ekiti.

The State Commissioner for Information, Rt. Hon. Taiwo Olatunbosun who made this known in a statement made available to newsmen in Ado Ekiti, said the recruitment drive is part of government’s effort at strengthening the healthcare system and ensuring optimal service delivery in all its health institutions across the state.

Rt. Hon. Olatunbosun highlighted the advertised positions to comprise Consultants, with areas of specialization in Dentistry to include Preventive Dentistry, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Restorative Dentistry, Community Oral Health and Paedodontics/Orthodontics as well as Physiotherapists.

Other positions advertised for are Registrars (CONMESS 3) for the department of Dentistry, Ophthalmology, Surgery, Anaesthesia, Internal Medicine and Laboratory Medicine (Chemical Pathology, Haematology, Microbiology, and Morbid Anatomy).

He listed the minimum requirements to be Recognized MBBS/BDS qualification, full registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN), evidence of Primary Fellowship Examination (from NPMCN or WACP/WACS) and Postgraduate qualifications where applicable for Consultants (Dentistry), while applicants for the Physiotherapists category are expected to possess Degree in Physiotherapy and evidence of registration with the Rehabilitation Therapists Registration Board of Nigeria, adding that all applicants must have NYSC Discharge Certificate or Certificate of Exemption.

The Commissioner advised interested applicants to obtain application forms at the Registry Unit, Department of Establishments & Training, Directorate of Administration, EKSUTH, Ado-Ekiti, adding that completed application forms are to be submitted in a brown envelope, clearly indicating the position applied for at the top right-hand corner.

He stressed that all applications must be addressed to The Director of Administration, Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital, P.M.B. 5355, Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State and submitted by hand within two weeks.

Reiterating the commitment of the State Government to creating job opportunities for youths as well as reinforcing healthcare delivery services in the State, Olatunbosun said that the development is a strategic opportunity for qualified medical professionals to join a reputable institution and contribute meaningfully to the health and wellbeing of Ekiti residents.
