…Says Oyebanji has Enabled Ekiti RAAMP to Deliver on its mandate
The Project Coordinator of Ekiti State Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP), Hon. Sunday Adunmo has felicititated the State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji on the third anniversary of his administration; stating that the three years have been marked by developmental strides and purposeful leadership.
Speaking at the just concluded 9th Implementation Support Mission of the project held in Lagos, the Project Coordinator said the Governor had, in three years, displayed unwavering commitment to the development of the State by initiating citizen-centred projects and programmes.
Adunmo stressed that Oyebanji’s leadership has brought about transformative changes in Ekiti State, particularly in the area of rural infrastructure development.
He specifically emphasized Oyebanji’s role in the take-off and co-funding of the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project under which the State Government is constructing 18 roads across different rural communities in the State.
The project coordinator added that under Oyebanji’s leadership, Ekiti RAAMP has received tremendous support and funding, enabling the successful construction of 18 rural roads, two of which have been completed and ready to be commissioned.
Adunmo said the construction of the roads has not only improved access to rural communities but also boosted agricultural productivity and market access for farmers.
“The impact of RAAMP on Ekiti State’s agricultural sector cannot be overstated. By providing farmers with reliable access to markets, the project has increased their income and improved food security. The project is also creating jobs and stimulating economic growth in rural areas, contributing to the overall development of our dear State. I must commend Governor Oyebanji for his visionary leadership and commitment to the welfare of Ekiti people. His administration’s support for RAAMP is a testament to his dedication to improving the lives of our rural dwellers and promoting economic growth in the state”, he said.
While speaking on the stability of the project, the Project Coordinator noted that the project enjoyed seamless operation following the continuity of the interest of Oyebanji’s predecessor, Dr Kayode Fayemi.
He said the continuity of Oyebanji’s administration beyond the current tenure would avail more communities in the State the opportunity of motorable roads linking their farms and markets.
Adunmo said the support enjoyed by Ekiti RAAMP under Oyebanji has enabled the project deliver on its mandate in Ekiti State, noting that Ekiti people must reciprocate the support to ensure the project expansion.
“As we celebrate three years of Governor Oyebanji’s administration, I congratulate His Excellency on this milestone. We look forward to continued collaboration and support for RAAMP, as we work together to build a brighter future for Ekiti State, particularly in the agricultural sector”, he said.
