The wife of the Ekiti State Governor, Dr Olayemi Oyebanji, has urged beneficiaries of the state’s free Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) e-PIN scheme to prepare diligently and strive for excellence in their examinations.
Dr Oyebanji made the call on Tuesday in Ado-Ekiti at the flag-off of the 2026 edition of the initiative, which will benefit 3,400 students across the state.
She said the gesture reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to human capital development, particularly through education.
According to her, the support provided by the government comes with high expectations, stressing that the success of the beneficiaries would not only bring pride to their families but also contribute to the development of Ekiti State and inspire other young people.
Oyebanji noted that the state government consistently procured and distributed 3,000 JAMB forms annually in 2023, 2024 and 2025, describing the initiative as part of Gov. Biodun Oyebanji’s broader efforts to promote access to education and extend the dividends of democracy to the youth.
“Under the purposeful and visionary leadership of Gov. Oyebanji, the government has continued to demonstrate unwavering commitment to human capital development, with education occupying a central place in its agenda,” she said.
She explained that the free JAMB e-PINs for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) went beyond facilitating registration, but aimed at opening doors of opportunity for hardworking and talented Ekiti students.
Oyebanji also emphasized the importance of equipping students with practical and employable skills, noting that the state had strengthened technical and vocational education.

She highlighted the completion of the Skill Acquisition Centre located beside the Immigration Office in Ado-Ekiti as part of efforts to promote entrepreneurship and self-reliance among young people.
In her welcome address, the Chairperson of the Agency for Adult and Non-Formal Education, Chief Moji Fafure, described the initiative as a demonstration of the government’s responsiveness to the educational aspirations of the people.
