The attention of the Ekiti State Government has been drawn to a misleading and fraudulent message circulating on social media claiming that candidates who scored 50% and above in the last TESCOM recruitment examination should urgently contact a “Youth President” via a provided telephone number.
The Ekiti State Government wishes to categorically state that this message did NOT emanate from the Ekiti State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) or any official arm of government.
The public is hereby informed that the message is the handiwork of fraudsters seeking to exploit unsuspecting job applicants. At no time did TESCOM authorize any individual or group to request that candidates contact any person privately regarding recruitment matters.
All official communications concerning recruitment exercises are conveyed strictly through verified government channels and recognized media platforms. Applicants are strongly advised to disregard the fraudulent message and refrain from contacting any random phone number provided by the suspected fraudsters or engaging with anyone claiming to offer assistance outside official procedures.
The Ekiti State Government remains committed to a transparent, merit-based, and credible recruitment process. Candidates are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious communication to the appropriate security agencies.
Members of the public are further advised to rely only on information released by the Government through verified government channels and recognized media platforms.
Signed,
Mr. Michael Boluwade
Permanent Secretary
Ekiti State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM)
