Ekiti State Commissioner for Wealth Creation and Employment, Otunba Kayode Fasae has restated the commitment of the Biodun Oyebanji administration to partnering with individuals and corporate organisations that would make positive contributions to the growth and development of the State’s economy particularly in the areas of enhancing job creation, skills acquisition and technology transfer.
Otunba Fasae made the assertion while playing host to top officials of the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC) led by the Director General, Mr. Oluwemimo Osanipin who paid him a courtesy visit in his office in Ado-Ekiti preparatory for the commencement of training programmes at the Automotive Training Center, Ado-Ekiti.
He said that the training of the people on the use of modern technology equipment is in tandem with the plans of Governor Oyebanji’s Administration, stressing that one of the best ways of eradicating poverty is human capital development particularly when such programmes enhance job creation, skills acquisition and technology.
Fasae noted that the centre would further enhance skills in the automobile profession and create employment opportunities thereby making the trainees self-reliant.

The Commissioner however urged the Council to consider Ekiti people in the concession of the facility adding that the government is considering training participants from across the State including students of State Technical Colleges.
Earlier in his remarks, the Director General, Mr. Osanipin who stated that NADDC is established to initiate, recommend and supervise policies and programmes in the Nigerian automotive industry, said that the Council intends to see the centre as a training facility to train people in modern automotive technologies and empower them with appropriate tools.
Mr. Osanipin said that NADDC has built a state-of-the-art facility in the State with modern equipment for the training of mechanics, artisans and the unemployed in skill acquisition.
