…lauds Oyebanji’s contributions to Sports development
Officials and athletes of the Ekiti Sports Commission have celebrated the successes recorded by the Ekiti State Under-15 team at the 2024 National Youth Games (NYG) Elimination competition which took place in Osogbo recently.
Receiving the team in Ado-Ekiti, the Technical Advisor to the Governor on Sports Development, Dr. Olusola Osetoba expressed joy at the team’s performance at the zonal elimination held at the Osun State Capital .
She urged the team to use the victory at the zonal elimination contest as a stepping stone to achieve national prominence at the upcoming National Youth Games in Asaba Delta State between 9th and 19th September

Osetoba urged the members of the State Contingent not to rest on their oars but commence preparation immediately for the forthcoming competition.
She acknowledged the efforts and contributions of the Governor Biodun Oyebanji in his unwavering contributions to Sports Development in the State.
Osetoba lauded the Ekiti State helmsman for the provision of Modern sports facilities to the commission and for the appointments of qualified coaches who were able to select talented athletes that could adequately represent the State
Team Ekiti won 3 gold and 4 Silver at the Zonal Championship
The team also qualified for the forthcoming National Competition in Asaba, Delta State in 5 ball games including Male and Female Beach Volleyball, Male Hockey, Female Handball, Male Volleyball and Female Cricket.
