
The Ekiti State Government has announced that the November edition of the monthly environmental sanitation exercise will hold on Saturday, 29 November 2025, from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. across all LGAs and LCDAs.
A Statement from the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources said this month’s exercise, themed “Clean Environment, Healthy Living: Take Responsibility,” will require the closure of all markets and commercial centres, with movement restricted except for essential workers.
The statement urged residents to participate fully by cleaning their surroundings, clearing blocked drainages and properly disposing of waste.
It said traders are to clean their stalls on Thursday, while civil servants and other workers are to clean their offices on Friday.

The Statement said Environmental Health Officers, NGOs and security agencies will monitor compliance, as mobile courts will prosecute defaulters.
It appealed to residents’ to cooperate with Government to ensure a cleaner, healthier Ekiti State.
