The Ekiti State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) has extended the qualifying examination for its ongoing teachers’ recruitment exercise from two to three days.
The examination, originally scheduled for Friday, August 14 and Saturday, August 15, 2026, will now commence on Thursday, August 13 and run through Saturday, August 15, 2026.
The additional day is to enable the Board to efficiently conduct the examination for the large number of eligible applicants who successfully completed the application process.
In a statement made available to the media on Monday, the Permanent Secretary of the Board, Mr Michael Omolayo, explained that the adjustment became necessary due to the high volume of applications received for the exercise.
Omolayo added that applicants who successfully completed their applications would be notified of their respective examination dates and times through their registered email addresses.
He stated that the Computer-Based Test (CBT) would be conducted at Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, and directed shortlisted candidates to appear at the examination venue on their assigned dates and times, with printed copies of their application forms for verification.

The Permanent Secretary warned that only duly invited applicants would be allowed into the examination halls, adding that mobile phones and other electronic devices would not be permitted within the examination premises.
Omolayo advised candidates to arrive at the venue only at their designated times, stressing that loitering around the examination centre would not be permitted.
He urged all candidates to comply with the examination schedule and instructions contained in their notification emails.
