Efforts to make Ekiti State, particularly, Ado Ekiti clean and disease free has received a boost as construction of the 20 Dino Bins by the State Government is completed and would soon be deployed to strategic locations for use.
The state Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Erelu Tosin Aluko-Ajisafe who made this known in Ado Ekiti, said the bins, which were constructed in partnership with the Lagos State Waste Management Authority, would be judiciously utilized in the efforts at eliminating indiscriminate waste disposal in the state.
Reiterating the commitment of the Biodun Oyebanji administration to maintaining a clean environment in the State, Mrs. Aluko said that Government would leave no stone unturned towards achieving a clean, healthy society.
Aluko said that the State Government would embark of massive sensitization on the need to avoid indiscriminate dumping of refuse, adding that there would however be enforcement of existing environmental laws in the State.

She therefore warned residents to desist from dumping waste on road medians stressing that disposal of waste inside drainages, canals and medians inimical to the welfare of people and contravention of the environmental laws.
