
The International Women’s Day celebration that was postponed last week Friday, 8th March, 2024 in Ekiti State premised on the demise of the State Chairman of All Progressive Congress (APC), Barr. Paul Omotoso, has been rescheduled for Friday, 15th March, 2024 in Ekiti State.
The State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Mrs. Peju Babafemi made this known in Press Statement made available to Newsmen in Ado-Ekiti.
The programme is being organised by the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development in collaboration with the Office of the First Lady, Her Excellency, Dr Olayemi Oyebanji.

Representatives of women across the Local Government Areas and Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) would be participating at the programme holding at Ekiti Parapo Pavilion, New Iyin Road, Ado Ekiti by 9.00 am.
The 2024 theme of the International Women’s Day is, ‘Count Her in Accelerating Gender Equality Through Economic Empowerment’.
Babafemi enjoined all stakeholders to note this new date and attend the ceremony punctually.
