…lauds Fatukasi, retiring Director of Civil Engineering

Ekiti State Commissioner for Works, Mr. Sola Adebayo, has described the civil service as a veritable platform for Government employees to demonstrate honesty, transparency, and ethical integrity in all their actions and decisions stressing that Civil servants play important roles in translation of government policy decisions into concrete actions and ensuring the smooth operation of government institutions and the delivery of essential services to citizens.
The Commissioner made the remark during the forum organized by the ministry in honour of the retiring Director of Civil Engineering, Engr. Tope Fatukasi who will be attaining the mandatory 35 years of service on October 1st ,2024.
Mr. Adebayo described Engr. Fatukasi as a committed professional whose contributions had made a substantial impact on the state’s infrastructural Developments
The Commissioner emphasized that Engr. Fatukasi’s exceptional service is a testament to his passion for excellence and service to the State urging other workers to emulate his exemplary conduct and commitment to duties
In his remarks, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Works, Mr. Ganiyu Titilope, expressed gratitude to God for the exceptional contributions to the State by by the retiring Director throughout his 35-year career, spanning from the old Ondo State to Ekiti State.

He called on staff of the Ministry and civil Servants in the State to emulate the dedication to service and commitment to duty and strict adherence to the ethics of the civil service and engineering code displayed by the outgoing director during his tenure
In his response, Engr. Fatukasi appreciated God for His mercy throughout his 35 years in the civil service and the Grace of God he enjoyed having joined the service as a Road Mender GL 01 in 1989 before embarking on self development efforts that saw him obtaining his degree in Civil Engineering which laid the foundation for his conversion to the Civil Engineers Cadre of the Ministry.
The event was attended by senior officials of the Ministry, family members, and well-wishers, all of who celebrated Engr. Fatukasi’s outstanding career and unwavering dedication to public service
Engr. Fatukasi, who joined the civil service in 1989, had served in various capacities within the Ministry of Works, including overseeing major road and infrastructure projects that have transformed the state’s landscape.
