
Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji has approved the release of another sum N200 million for the payment of gratuities to retirees in the State.
The Permanent Secretary, Pension Transition Arrangement Department (PTAD), Mr. Francis Omotoso, who made this known in a statement made available to newsmen in Ado-Ekiti, explained that the amount would cover payment of gratuities of State Government Pensioners up to July 2015.

Reiterating the commitment of Governor Biodun Oyebanji to the general wellbeing of retirees in the State, Mr. Omotoso noted that the approval is another significant step towards offsetting the backlog of outstanding gratuities and other entitlements of retirees owed by previous administrations in line with the continuity and shared prosperity agenda of the administration.
He urged the affected Pensioners to report at the PTAD Office Old Governor’s Office for documentation in preparation for the collection of their cheques.
It will be recalled the Oyebanji Administration has so far paid over N7.2 billion as gratuities to State retirees from assumption of office in October 2023 to date.
