The Ekiti State contingent to the 2025 National Sports Festival comprising 118 athletes and 48 officials has departed the state for Abeokuta, Ogun State for the 22nd National Sports Fiesta

Addressing members of the contingent at a brief ceremony in Ado-Ekiti, the Technical Advisor to the Governor on Sports Development , Dr.Olusola Osetoba charged the Athletes to be focused and put in their best in order to win laurels and make the state proud at the biennial sporting fiesta

Dr. Osetoba lauded the present administration led by Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji for ensuring necessary preparation and providing the team with the required support.

She added that success at the games will justify Governor Oyebanji’s huge investment in the sports sector and his passion for the Athletes and sports development in the state.

Members of the State contingent at the games are expected to take part in Badminton, Table tennis, Gymnastics, Kung-fu, Ayo Olopon, Chess, Karate and Scrabble as well as Weightlifting, Judo, Para powerlifting, Kickboxing, Boxing, Golf, Tennis, Athletics, Para Athletics and Cycling.
