
The Ekiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji has approved the appointment of three Headmasters General for the Primary School System in the state.
The new Headmasters General according to a statement made available to newsmen in Ado-Ekiti by the Executive Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Prof. Femi Akinwumi are: Mrs Monisola Oguntamore appointed for Ekiti Central District; Mr. Isaac Ogunleye for Ekiti South and Mrs.Bola Omotoso for Ekiti North District
Prof Akinwumi explained that the new appointments are a further demonstration of Governor Oyebanji’s commitment to strengthening and repositioning the basic education sector in the State for greater service delivery
The SUBEB boss also noted that the appointments reflect the strict adherence of the Governor to merit-based selection of experienced individuals into key positions in line with the shared prosperity agenda of the present administration.
He appreciated the Governor’s gesture, adding that five new primary schools were recently established in Ikere Ekiti by the present administration to improve access to basic education among children of school age and to also meet the demand and yearnings of various communities in the town for qualitative basic education.
Akinwumi added that the State Government will continue to restructure its primary schools to full basic schools comprising Early Childhood Care, Development, and Education (ECCDE) ,Primary Schools and Junior Secondary Schools for optimal UBE delivery.

While congratulating the new Headmasters General on their appointments, Akinwumi urged them to be ready to deploy their competence and experiences towards the development of public primary schools in the State
The appointments according to the SUBEB Chairman take immediate effect.
