
A 3-week training programme organized by Ekiti State Government for 500 newly Recruited officers of the Amotekun, Anti-Grazing and Agro-Marshal Corps would commence on Sunday, 6th July, 2025 at the NYSC Orientation Camp, Ise-Orun/Emure Ekiti.
A statement from the Ekiti State Commissioner for Information, Rt.Hon Taiwo Olatunbosun made available to newsmen in Ado-Ekiti said the main objective of the training programme is to equip the newly recruited personnel with the required skills for the effective discharge of their duties.
He said the training will include both theoretical and practical activities including practical exercises, teamwork, adaptivity, technical proficiency and physical fitness, focusing on critical aspects of community policing and security operations.
Olatunbosun stressed that the orientation training programme for the newly recruited Amotekun, Anti-Grazing and Agro-Marshal Corps underscores the State Government’s dedication to enhancing the operational capacity of local security outfits to combat crime, protect the agricultural sector and rural communities, as well as address the security concerns related to open grazing, thereby contributing to the reduction of farmers-herders conflicts.

He urged the newly recruited officers to adequately prepare for this training programme by arriving on time to facilitate a seamless orientation process.
The orientation programme which commences at 10am on Sunday would be rounded off on Friday 25th July, 2025
