We are proud of Governor Oyebanji’s achievements – Olatunbosun

…..says Governor’s Leadership is Driving Unprecedented Development

Special Adviser to the Ekiti State Governor on Information, Rt. Hon. Taiwo Olatunbosun has said that the visionary leadership of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji has ushered in a new era of growth, inclusion, and sustainable development across Ekiti State.

Speaking while featuring on a live audience participatory television programme, Rt. Hon. Olatunbosun noted that in less than three years of purposeful governance, Governor Oyebanji has demonstrated unwavering commitment to the shared prosperity of the people of Ekiti, adding that “his administration has ceaselessly delivered on its promises with integrity, accountability, and compassion from infrastructural renewal to human capital development”.

Olatunbosun said “the goal from day one has been to build a State that works for everyone, across all strata, from farmers to the traders and artisans in the State. We are investing in the people, in infrastructure, and in systems that promote fairness, innovation, sustainable growth and security. The progress we have made so far is a testament to what is possible when leadership meets genuine public interest.”

He emphasized that “we are indeed very proud of the achievements of this strategic and decisive thinker who has inspired trust of the people to automatically earn him a second term in office. An efficient administrator who leads with integrity, governs with competence, listens with empathy, and works relentlessly to improve the lives of all residents.

“We are therefore neither afraid nor dismayed by the thought of either the primary or the main election as victory is ascertained.”

He stressed that Ekiti has been consistently ranked among the top States for fiscal responsibility, budget transparency, and civil service reform while farmers in the State now have access to inputs, credit, mechanized tools, and guaranteed offtake markets through the administration’s massive Agricultural Investment Drive as well as the “Bring Back the Youths in Agriculture” initiative, which has provided training and funding for young farmers across the state.

Highlighting other key achievements under Governor Oyebanji’s administration, Olatunbosun said the “Ekiti Youth Economic Empowerment Programme (E-YEEP)” has provided grants, vocational training, and business support to thousands of young entrepreneurs and all public schools in the State are undergoing renovation as well as investments in teacher training, digital learning tools, and performance-based incentives.

According to him, the administration has revitalized primary healthcare facilities, introduced mobile health initiatives, and improved access to quality care in underserved areas, adding that reconstruction and expansion of major roads across all senatorial districts have eased movement, boosted commerce, and connected rural communities to urban centers in an engendered sustainable peace and secured environment.

“Governor Oyebanji’s inclusive leadership style has fostered unity, peace, and a sense of ownership among Ekiti citizens. His administration listens, learns, and leads with the people at the center of every decision.

“As we reflect on the journey so far, we are immensely proud of how far Ekiti has come. The development strides achieved in such a short period underscore the Governor’s sincerity of purpose, strategic vision, and deep love for the people of Ekiti.”

Reiterating the commitment of Governor Oyebanji to consolidating the gains and forging ahead with transformative projects that would leave a lasting legacy for generations to come, Olatunbosun however stressed the need for all political aspirants in the forthcoming gubernatorial election and their supporters to eschew politics of bitterness and campaign of calumny, adding that the common interests of Ekiti people as a homogeneous entity far outweigh any political consideration, negative communication, misunderstandings, or deliberate attempts to sow discord that may lead to disharmony.

He said “the collective and long term interest of our people should take precedence over narrow and short term political considerations. The collective interest of the State must remain paramount and should supersede all other forms of personal interests.”
