
The Office of Transformation and Service Delivery (OTSD) in Ekiti State has concluded the 2025 annual Evaluation and Assessment Exercise for Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) in the State, aimed at measuring their performance and alignment with the Six Actionable Pillars of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanjiโs administration.
The Special Adviser/Director General, SA/DG, to the Governor of the State, Dr. John Ekundayo, during the 2-day exercise in Ado Ekiti, said the programme was part of ways to evaluate and examine the activities of government ministries and parastatals in accordance with the policies of the present administration to ensure even distribution of its shared prosperity agenda to the people.
Dr. Ekundayo said the exercise was a measure through which MDAs show their score cards in correlation with the work plans and actionable pillars by which their contributions to the stateโs development agenda from inception till date.
The SA/DG stated that the assessment was an essential mechanism for tracking government performance and ensuring that every MDA delivers on the Governorโs vision for overall development of the State and its people, with emphasis on objectivity and data-driven, anchored on transparency and accountability.
He added that the purpose of Ekiti dashboard was not to be underestimated, in as much as projects monitoring and tracking are assessable, saying that the program was to strengthen institutional efficiency and reward performance, noting that the Oyebanji administration prioritizes evidence-based governance and measurable service delivery.
Ekundayo emphasized the commitment of Oyebanji-led administration towards the wellbeing of the civil/public servants across the State, with a charge to them to be more dedicated to their duties.
In his remarks, the Solicitor General and Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Justice, Barr. Sunday Bamise applauded the Governor for creating a workable and conducive working environment for both the public and civil servants in the State, adding that the workers in the state will continue to turn in expected results through resilience and dedication.
The annual exercise is part of OTSDโs tradition at institutionalizing performance management, enhancing accountability and ensuring that every MDA contributes effectively to the six strategic pillars of the Oyebanji administration.
It is also aimed at strengthening the culture of performance-based governance in Ekiti State, setting a benchmark for results-driven public administration in Nigeria.
The exercise which lasted for 2 days evaluated key ministries, parastatals and agencies, such as the Ministry of Justice, Office of the Deputy Governor, Ekiti State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Ekiti State Revenue Service (EKIRS), Pension Transitional Arrangement Department (PTAD), Local Government Service Commission, Pension Commission (PENCOM), the Auditor-Generalโs Office, amongst others.
