EKITI INFORMATION COMMISSIONER CELEBRATES MEDIA PRACTITIONERS, STAKEHOLDERS, AND STAFF, URGES RENEWAL AND FORWARD MOMENTUM

The Ekiti State Commissioner for Information, Rt. Hon. Taiwo Olatunbosun has extended warm Christmas and New Year greetings to staff of the Ministry, media practitioners, and other critical stakeholders in the information and communication ecosystem, commending their dedication and partnership in advancing effective governance and public engagement across the state.

In a goodwill message released to mark the festive season, Rt. Hon. Olatunbosun expressed a big “thank you” to journalists, broadcasters, editors, digital media professionals, civil society partners, and allied stakeholders for their professionalism, cooperation, and commitment to responsible information dissemination throughout the year.

The Commissioner said “I extend my heartfelt appreciation to our hardworking media practitioners and valued stakeholders, alongside the dogged staff of the Ministry. Your collaboration has amplified the voice of Ekiti State, strengthened public trust, and ensured that governance remains open, accessible, and people-centered.”

Reflecting on the year’s achievements, Olatunbosun noted that the strong collaboration and sustained partnership between government communicators and media partners contributed significantly to strengthening inclusivity, transparency, accountability, and the promotion of development initiatives across the state.

Looking ahead, the Commissioner urged all partners to sustain the momentum in the New Year, emphasizing innovation, professionalism, and shared responsibility in shaping public discourse.

“As we look to the future, let us keep the momentum bubbling. The foundations we have laid together prepare us for greater impact in the coming year, as we continue to tell Ekiti’s success story with clarity, integrity, and purpose,” the statement read inter alia.

The Commissioner also encouraged rest and relaxation during the festive period, describing the season as an opportunity for renewal and balance after a demanding year.

“This is a time to rest, reflect, and reconnect with family and loved ones. A refreshed mind and body are essential for creativity, accuracy, and excellence in service,” he added.

Reinforcing a collaborative and inclusive approach, the Commissioner described the relationship between government, the media, and stakeholders as a two-way conversation, welcoming constructive feedback, ideas, and continued dialogue.

“Our progress thrives on open communication. Your insights and engagement matter, and we look forward to deeper collaboration in the year ahead,” the message stated.

The Commissioner concluded by wishing all media practitioners, stakeholders, and staff a joyful Christmas and a peaceful, prosperous New Year, while once again appreciating their unwavering support and partnership in the service of Ekiti State.
