
The Ekiti State Government has commenced the process of recruiting medical doctors into the State Hospitals’ Management Board as medical officers.
The move is sequel to the approval given by the State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji to the State Hospitals’ Management Board , to fill existing vacancies in the State General and Specialists Hospitals.
A statement made available to newsmen from the office of the Permanent Secretary Ekiti State Hospitals’ Management Board (HMB) in Ado-Ekiti said interested applicants must possess relevant medical certificates such as MBBS, recent Practicing Licence, Certificate of Full Registration and National Youths Service Corps (NYSC) Discharge Certificate or Exception letter.

The statement advised interested applicants with prerequisite qualifications to obtain their application forms at the Ekiti State Hospitals’ Management Board (HMB), Similoluwa Area , Ado Ekiti, between Monday 25th March and Friday, 5th April, 2024
Recall that a few months ago, Governor Oyebanji increased salaries of all health workers in the state via the implementation of the Consolidated Medical Salary Scale (CONMESS), the Consolidated Health Salary Scale (CONHESS) as well as payment of 100% hazard allowance for medical doctors and other health workers.
These actions were nationally recognized, with different health associations hailing the Governor for the steadfast commitment to improving health worker welfare.
These gestures, amongst others by the Ekiti government, have made the emoluments of medical doctors and other health workers compare favourably with their peers working in federal health establishments.
