
Ekiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji has approved the appointment of two new Tutors-General for public secondary schools in the state.
The new Tutors-General are Mrs Adekemi
Olukowade for Ekiti Central and Mr Olufemi Ogungbamigbe for Ekiti South Senatorial District.
A statement from the Ekiti State Teaching Service Commission made available to newsmen in Ado-Ekiti said the appointments followed the voluntary retirement of the Tutors-General for Ekiti Central, Mr Victor Amele and Ekiti South, Mrs Omowumi Adewumi after attaining the mandatory retirement age and length of Service
The statement said that the new appointments which takes immediate effect is aimed at ensuring academic excellence and also to motivate teachers for optimal performance in public secondary schools in Ekiti State.
The new Tutors-General are experienced teachers and seasoned administrators who have made their marks in the State Teaching Service.

Olukowade, a graduate of the famous Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife worked briefly at the Federal Government Girls’College, Abuja in 1990 before joining the Lagos State Ministry of Education.
She transferred her services to Ekiti State Teaching Service Commission in 2008 where she rose to and served as Principal of several schools in the State
Until her appointment, she served as the State President of All Nigeria Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools, (ANCOPSS).
Mr Olufemi Ogungbamigbe, also a graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife started his career as a graduate teacher with the Ondo State Teaching Service Commission in 1991.
He transferred his services to the Ekiti State Teaching Service Commission in 1996 as a result of the creation of the State.
Ogungbamigbe, has risen through the ranks to become a school Principal and has also worked in various schools across the state before being posted to Ado Community High School, Ado Ekiti as Principal of the School, a position he held until his recent appointment.
