…Says the Governor has broken a 60-year jinx with the construction of Ikole-Ara-Isinbode Road.
The Bishop of the Methodist Church of Nigeria, Ayedun Ekiti Diocese, Most Reverend Titus Ilori Omoniyi has lauded Governor Biodun Oyebanji for what he described as the unprecedented development being witnessed in the State.
Speaking at a forum at Isinbode Ekiti, Rt. Rev. Omoniyi expressed gratitude to the Governor for rehabilitating the long abandoned Ikole-Ara-Isinbode Road, noting that the road had suffered neglect for over six decades.
He stressed the importance of the 19.5-kilometer road to the socioeconomic development of the area, adding that as a feeder road, its rehabilitation would ease transportation of goods particularly farm produce from the area to the markets.
According to him, the project would significantly improve the lives of residents, boost economic activities, and facilitate seamless transportation within the region.
Rt. Rev. Omoniyi stressed that “this road is very important to the economy of this town and its environs. It is a feeder road that would enable farmers who work in the area that is up to Aara Ekiti, to get their farm produce to the city and it links various communities”.
“For me, this is a breakthrough and I want to appreciate the government for this very serious work done on the road. The people of Isinbode here are very happy. We are all happy that what we have been praying for in the past 60years has come to pass during the time of this our hardworking Governor.
