
The Ekiti State Government has reinforced its commitment to combating gender-based violence (GBV) through a strategic partnership with the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
Speaking while playing host to the State Commandant of the NSCDC, Commander Matthew Enya , in Ado-Ekiti on Tuesday, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Prof. Habibat Adubiaro reaffirmed the commitment of the Oyebanji administration to ensuring a peaceful and violence-free state.
She emphasized Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s zero-tolerance to violence, particularly against women and children.

The Ekiti State Chief Scribe commended the NSCDC for its efforts in security and law enforcement, noting that stronger collaboration between the government and security agencies would further enhance the fight against GBV.
In his response, the Commandant of the NSCDC in Ekiti State, Commander Enya assured the Government of the NSCDC’s unwavering commitment to addressing Gender-Based Violence pledging that the corps would continue working diligently to ensure Ekiti remains a safe haven, that is free from all forms of violence.
